The ELITE-GATE Question Bank will comprise of Solutions / Answers / Hints of selected questions from previous TWENTY THREE YEARS GATE PAPERS, 1990-2012.
This Question Bank gives you a wide range of Questions with answers / solutions / hints on all topics of the syllabus of your subject.The important point to be noted is that these questions and answers will help to improve your basics thoroughly.Apart from the Question Bank, there is also a
special Test Series containing
5 Test Papers. These test papers will be similar to the actual Gate paper.
Answers / Hints / Solutions will be despatched along with these Test Papers. You can check your answers after you finish solving the papers. This will give you ample practice and you will gain confidence for attempting the GATE
Note: Students opting for only Question Bank and Test Series will also receive course material on General Aptitude.
GATE FOR GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS AND PSUs
Apart from gaining admission to Post Graduate programmes, GATE score is also used by many Government departments (eg. BARC) and PSUs for Recruitment purposes.
ABOUT GATE
1) Paper Pattern: All candidates of GATE will appear in a
single paper of 3 hrs duration consisting of
65 questions carrying a maximum of
100 marks. The GATE paper will consist of
only multiple choice questions. There will be '
negative marking' for each wrong answer. The deduction will be one-third of the marks alloted. Each GATE paper shall have a common
General Aptitude (GA) component carrying
15 marks. 2) Eligibility: a)Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes
b)Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (Post-B.Sc./Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
c)Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
d)Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.
e) Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.
f) Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.
